LECO Nitrogen / Oxygen Determination
Nitrogen is sometimes required for testing. Stainless steels typically require nitrogen testing if the material has a maximum or minimum nitrogen requirement in the alloy requirements. Test Metals performs this testing on a specific LECO Combustion Nitrogen/Oxygen unit. Test Metals uses a LECO TC-436 Nitrogen-Oxygen determinator to perform analysis on metal samples. The range of this machine can accurately measure nitrogen from 0 ppm to 5000 ppm or .00%-.50% ranges. The accuracy of this machine is ±2 ppm or ±3% whichever is greater. Samples can be introduced in solid, milling or powder form. It can determine nitrogen content in iron, steel, slag, and other ferrous or non-ferrous materials.
